Navigating the landscape to help bring the best creative solutions to marketing challenges

MY FOCUS

creative problem-solving

Addressed Problems = Solutions

Whenever you get a creative brief or a job request from a client, what results are they expecting after you’ve delivered? What brought them to the point where they thought they needed something? Have they explored options other than their original request?

Here is where we professionals come in. It’s time to dig deep, get answers to every question, collect as much data and let the strategic brainstorming sessions begin.

Once you figure out the problem and come up with the solution you have to execute it. This is generally the easiest part because it pulls from the skill sets that give us the ability to produce.

Reading the landscape means seeing the path from beginning to completion and preparing for any obstacles that might come up. This is the time to trust instinct and not get lost in the forest.

Team building

A good team gives value to individual efforts

People inherently love to have purpose. I find that trusting employees to do the tasks given is a great foundation. There is rarely a need to micro-manage, only guidance. This not only makes people feel valued but it inspires them to want to do more, take chances and speak up.

As a designer projects are always collaborative. Some clients demand more than others and that’s ok.

In my experience 90% of the issues that arise aren't due to bad work or a missed deadline, it’s because of a missed or absent communication.

Even if everything is going well, send out a message to the client to ask how their day is, it doesn’t hurt. You’ll never lose with a great client relationship.
